The system may give you the option to delete a consumer from an order. If the borrowers have already been invited, you should not be allowed to remove them. This has been seen sporadically that the system does allow this – if you encounter this instance, please report it. This is a known issue but is proving to be difficult to replicate.
Before deleting, think about why you might need to remove a buyer. Is it to resolve a misspelled email address? If so, you can follow the steps detailed in the When a Consumer Email is Incorrect article.
NOTE: Deleting a Buyer will remove ALL tags associated to the deleted Buyer.
1 - We have an order with two buyers, and I delete Buyer 2. Pavaso may remove Buyer 2 from the order details, however, it does not remove them from the Order. On the back end, Pavaso will still consider that deleted Buyer as Buyer 2. When I delete, it will remove all tags associated with Buyer 2.
2 - Next, I add another Buyer to the Order. Pavaso displays that this is Buyer 2, however, Pavaso actually thinks this is Buyer 3 (remember, deleting does not remove them from the order completely according to Pavaso’s logic).
3 - I then select Save and am prompted to Re-Apply Templates, because the system has identified that we had an additional Buyer. The system sees that additional Buyer as Buyer 3, not Buyer 2. Unless templates are created with three buyers, the templates will not apply.
